Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That 5800 deal is great. I had considered that before deciding on Ultegra.

Very nice price.
Hope it comes down again. I'm planning on either 105 or Sram Rival for my next bike build.
Cost is around $360 to $370 right now from UK retailers.still A good buy.I have to wait as most my funds went into A new bike an frame.Photo coming soon.

I don't know what is going on with prices right now.

All the sites had pretty much stayed together and were as high as $420.

Merlin's prices recently went down while Ribble prices shot up. Merlin has 105 groups for $365 while Ribble has the same group for $485.

$365 is a great price. The cranks alone are $95 in the most common sizes, $75 for the less sought after sizes.

Will likely have a hill / handlebar shifter behind stem that maybe can be forearm shifted. Then maybe bar end shifters. Don't know. I didn't past them as I've had them a long time and that would be off topic.

Purchased a chain cleaner tool and eco-friendly degreaser. Can't wait to give my road bike a great cleaning in the chains!

last nite installed another cheap wired computer. now all 3 bikes have cheap computers. 2 wired, 1 wireless. don't need lots of details, for me the simpler the better. mostly I like to know how many miles I have left before I get home. 1 has a thermometer & that was useful but it's not a must-have

Got this to keep in the saddlebag so I can take the wheels of my Vybe D7 off in case of a flat (it didn't come with quick-release hubs) and adjust saddle position if need be:

I guess I lucked out finding this at a local hardware store: it's lighter than your "standard" adjustable wrench of even a shorter size (it's even lighter than my SuperB multitool!) Also, the end of the race on which the adjustable side runs is rounded off, as opposed to the sharp edge of a standard wrench, which should prevent it from chafing its way out of the bag or damaging the spare tube:

Will do.
I plan on getting the "dual" once it is made available for Uletegra cranks. My left leg is significantly weaker than my right due to multiple injuries/surgeries.
