Teams in the Southern VA/VA Beach area

As suggested I am making a thread asking if anyone knows of teams in the Soither VA area, specifically around VA Beach. Only a Cat 5, but would be nice to see what teams are out there in the area and the LBS isnt really helping with the question.

Fat frogs is probably your best bet. See https://fatfrogsracing.com/. (I'm in Farmville, btw.)

Hilton Cycling Club. Are you talking about Conte's in Newport News? Nice guys. Go check out one of their rides. It's a good club.

Yea, I just started going to the Contes in Newport News and go on their MWF 4pm ride for 25 miles each. It reallys help me reach my 150 miles a week goal.

Heh, I'm in the area for a few days and I'll probably do the fat frogs group rides from tomorrow till saturday or sunday morning.

Now I'm trying to figure out if I can actually ride to the shop or if that's a bad idea. The rides are pretty early, so I'll probably just drive there and see if anyone wants to ride a little longer...

The Tripower folks who ride from Conte's at Hilltop are a good bunch. I rode with them for several weeks this winter while I was in town for work.

Hit up the Sunday ride for a really good workout!! ~60 miles to Yorktown and back. I can't imagine you would want to join a club in VA beach when you have that in NN.

Depends on where you're staying. If you at the oceanfront, you can ride to the Fat Frogs shop down General Booth and take some side roads to the FF ride. A closer option would be to get on the Conte's ride on Laskin (for Saturday am). That's assuming you're staying at the oceanfront area.

Not staying at the oceanfront, but can drive down there.

Can you pm me with more info for that ride?

I'd like to get in a longer ride on saturday.
