That's not ugly. Give it to me. I'll show it what it feels like to be loved.

You dont HAVE to love it, you could always send it this way if its not getting enough love. What size?

I always say 'never-ever-ever' repaint a bike.
So of course, I had one repainted.
A '53 Raleigh.

I use her as my winter bike. So, there is no neglect. The lug work is amazing. I just think the paint is ugly. Too Italian for me. I feel like I should cover the saddle with clear plastic (my fellow Americans of Italian descent should understand this). I call her ugly and she broke my hip...we're even.
Before you ask: "Then, why did you buy it?". It was a half-priced, left over in a mail order cat. No photos. When I called, the salesman said: "It's red, white and green. Tastefully done." Well, the deal was too good...so, I kept her.

Now I'm more confused on my commuter paint job than ever!
Even the artistic paint of the raleigh made me think of letting my H.S. students have a shot at painting my bike some wild way and then clearcoating it.

Cool stuff! Maybe I need more bikes just to have fun painting up all sorts of colors!
Too bad I'm not very talented, wish i could do this!

Land Sharks tend to have fairly interesting paint jobs.

Here's one that I bought used from a friend. He had asked for something along the lines of California coastal. I feel this is at least as good as one of Dario Pegoretti's ciavete paint jobs.

Even the fork was painted on both the exterior and interior sides.

this '90ish Boarala aka "Calico Bianchi" shown here with the hedious factory decals OY!

All are very nice.

Loving the Landshark!

There was a very nice Landshark available on another forum recently that I had to exhibit not-so-often used self control over.

Somewhere around here there's a photo of a custom job done for Team Bag Balm- most of the frame is white with black cow spots, but the bottom bracket area is a pink "udder".

Any of the custom jobs done by Mountain Goat get my nod:

Found one I may try. Livestrong version for vintage.
I've got yellow fenders and have been wondering what colors to paint a frame I have to go with them.
Sort of "tongue in cheek"

took possession of this Grandis last year. in 1988, original owner took delivery of the bike in gloss black with yellow decals, and immediately turned it around to 'a painter dude in Ft. Worth who only used Imron, don't remember his name', and he had this paint job applied. it was his triathlon bike for a few years, with those ungodly huge forward looping horrendous tri-bars like they used in the 80s. fortunately he kept the Cinelli bars and stem. the first three shots show the splatter detail-- its hard to get them to show up in photos of the whole bike. i will eventually have an Ergo drivetrain on this frame. it is a favorite frame, but i DON'T LIKE the Campy Victory on it now

and here's the bike:

One of my favorites on this board.

My son is riding a Grandis this summer.

I see you use the "put the frame on a couch and take a picture" method as well.

My wonderful wife just asked me to remove three bikes from her living room!

I was only trying to get some pics in decent light.

Looks more Giraffe than Mountain Goat to me, but still awesome! (In a special kind of way.)

That looks amazing, any more pics?

thanks for the kind words, gomango. the couch is an outdoor couch under the patio arbor, so is a little tougher than a living room item.
