Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bigger Sized Gloves?

It's getting time for a new pair and the ones I generally like (PI and Giro) are always just a tad small in size XL. I've not seen a size XXL. Anyone know of a similar glove (not overly think or full of gel) that runs larger? Mainly looking for summer, fingerless gloves but have never found a good fitting pair of winter ones either. Thanks.

Btw, I have tried most of the ones at Performance and REI without much luck.

Thanks. I see that on their website. According to the size chart though I'm a size L/XL and while I can wear an XL It is a bit tight.

Bigger SIZED? As opposed to a bigger color?

Yeah, that's a pet peeve of mine.

And don't ever say, "Green in color!" It's just GREEN, damnit!!! It's not "Green in sound" nor "green in velocity". Green is already a friggen color!!!!

Arrrrggghhhh!!!!!!

PI gloves are stupid small. And they shrink. Find another brand.

I'm sure if they find a bigger sized pair of two gloves they will go to the ATM machine and get out a withdrawal of the correct amount of green as in money.

You can try some XXL or larger weightlifting gloves which will be of similar construction to half finger cycling gloves. For full finger gloves, many trail riders and road riders use Mechanix gloves or other similar mechanic's/shop gloves.

My lbs had tons of xxl specialized and gore gloves on closeout starting at $15 a pair. I got big hands and after a few uses the xxl was too big. The specialized ones stretch out quite a bit over time. I was able to get and xl and that fits perfect now.

OP, be careful. As I said earlier, the PI gloves are stupid small re: the marked size. So in another brand you may not need XXL. Hard to say.

No, I searched local bike shops for ones I could try on. Finding something online doesn't tell me much. So far, every pair is a bit tight. I was hoping someone might have had a similar problem and found a solution.

I did find a pair of XXL Giro gloves today but they didn't seem any larger than the PI ones I have. They are all tight around the hand. Fingers are fine.
