Shoes for narrow feet

My lovely stoker is having trouble finding cycling shoes. She prefers mountain style shoes and needs a size 44. Men's shoes are way too wide. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Has she looked into Sidis? They have a wide range of sizes and I think they come in narrow

Sidi's do tend to run narrow. I have the opposite problem - I need a wide shoe, but I get it, you need to either try something on, or be confident shoes will fit before ordering. Finding shoes that fit have always been a challenge for me.

You might also float your request over on the mountain bike forum to increase your exposure to folks buying mountain bike shoes. Other than that I would visit a your local LBS's and if you have something like an REI nearby as well. If they don't have anything, but can get you something, be sure and tell them that if they don't fit, you won't be paying for them.
