yah i was thinking of trying to sell my used baileyworks for more than i bought it. already broken in! look like you ride a lot! etc! plus it's hot pink.
nobody wants to walk around with a brand new, crisp, shiny chrome bag. used is the only way.

So, how much are you asking for the starter kit? Is there an upgraded model?

I'd better stick with the starter kit then.
It would take too long to sell all my bikes.

Nah, let me do that. Half the people complaining about "trends" are riding track bikes on the street why? Yeah, trend. Don't lie to yourselves and blur the real reason with a description of "zen/oneness/frugal (ha, that is a joke for most of the tarck bikes nowadays)" - somewhere along the way, you saw someone riding a track bike and thought - HELL YES. We all did. That is what matters most. People will hate and post useless crap about how awesome they are because they got into track bikes 3 months before you or whatever, or they can score mad parts and they know everything - that is fine. When they start posting useful information is the day that they actually have a place in cycling. Anyone can buy a bike - the people that make a difference are the ones who help others get into the sport properly.

some new kind of kick
^ there is a dearth of people that are genuinely interested in being helpful.
Of course there are plenty of people asking silly questions too--but I appreciate
PBs sentiment.

Ironically, I am one of those people who wears tight jeans and has a chrome bag (roll top, to be fair. Way more comfortable than my old messenger bag), and I wear clothes from American Apparel, so I suppose that makes me one of those irritating hipsters. Whatever. It is a fad, sure, but so is any style of dress or way of acting. People will make fun of hipsters until making fun of hipsters is the cool thing to do, at which point people will start making fun of the hipster haters. See a pattern?

Stumptown has great coffee, so at least you have an excuse. I basically live at backspace.
