'Diamonds in the back, sunroof top, diggin the scene'
Or Be Thankful For What You've Got >Massive Attack did a cover?

"Though you may not drive a great big cadillac
Gangster whitewalls tv antenna in the back
You may not have a car at all
But just remember brothers and sisters
You can still stand tall
Just be thankful for what you've got
Though you may not drive a great big cadillac
Diamonds in the back, sunroof top, diggin the scene
With the gasoline gangster whitewalls
Tv antenna in the back

You may not have a car at all
But just remember brothers and sisters
You can still stand tall
Just be thankful for what you've got
Diamonds in the back, sunroof top, diggin' the scene
With the gasoline ooh ooh ooh
Though you may not drive a great big cadillac
Gangster whitewalls tv antenna in the back
You may not have a car at all
But just remember brothers and sisters
You can still stand tall
Just be thankful for what you've got
Diamonds in the back, sunroof top, diggin the scene
With the gasoline."

Curtis was so cool, super track.

I believe it's "diggin' the scene with the gangsta lean...", but good choice nonetheless!

One of my picks would be A Tribe Called Quest's "Electric Relaxation".

I use Kraftwerk's Autobahn, or something by Rammstein, get that rhythm going in machine mode!

What about "Bicycle Race" by Queen?

"Who do you love?" by Quicksilver Messenger Service is tasty too.

Mostly I let the tunes in my head provide the music.

To be more accurate - R&B. All the covers and imitations rank right up there with traffic noise.

wish I could, Ive tried, but the wind noise at 20-25mph is so loud you cant hear squat, and I like my hearing---watched my dad go deaf as he got older from being an airline pilot, no thanks, Ill pass on that

maybe with some big azzed headphones it would be ok, just the city alone downtown is damn loud in its own right

I appreciate your concern for your hearing. When you don't have to go fast for your messenger job, you might consider slowing down if it brings the noise level down to a point where you can enjoy the music at a reasonable level. Speed isn't everything; music is.

on the job using headphones would be pointless, I have a cell phone to deal with, and like I said before, downtown is noisy noisy cept at night, then its peaceful and quiet----one of my favorite things to do is zip around downtown at night in the summer in the dead silence

Im not a huge music person really, not something I indulge in daily. Some people cant live without it, its not one of my addictions.

its a bit of a safety risk too, I dont know how many times being able to hear something coming has saved my butt from being hit, hearing is as good as rear view mirror most of the time

Not just on my bike. At work I am listening to Woody's Roadhouse from Louisville Public Radio. Recorded this past weekend, 12 hours of great sounds every weekend. Plus later will be Jazz recorded on Sunday from the same station. But Hey, if others like to listen to traffic noise I am sure recordings must exist somewhere for their off bike listening pleasure.
