rust on front dérailleur ?!
Hey guys I fount two small spots where the outer coating of the of the metal is flaking on one bit (just above the spring) and a little blister on the another (on the other hinge thing) I can't afford a new one and this still work fine, there is no damage to the mechanism at the moment but I am worried if I don't do something there may be..
Anyway I am wondering what is the best thing to treat it with I am planing to just sand back the affected area and put some rust treater do you thing that will be fine or do I need to put something else on as well to stop any feather rust growth? Thanks!

Rust happens. Clean it and lube it then ride it.
