Yesterday’s ride was a right old flail, undertaken with the idea of a TT on Thurs. I’ll be happy with some fake Z2 today, but right now, there’s a hard little blueberry caught in my esophagus, right above the screw tab of my C4-5 fake disc, and I gotta get that sucker up or down before I ride.

I’m in the throes of ride fatigue. No interest though I hope to get out for a short ride. Humidity the last few days hasn’t helped along with some outside minor stressful stuff. Also, some busy weeks coming up with doctor visits and tests. My podium placing is highly in doubt for awhile.

A guy in my club routinely rides randonnours, double centuries, etc. I have no idea what he's training for at the moment but his last three days have been 264, 215, and 188 miles all in the UP and upper Wisconsin.

A question for the Garmin folks: is going to sleep more frequently than a narcoleptic cat the default mode for these things? What kind of real-world battery life can be expected with the display on all of the time?
I love the always-on aspect of the Bolt and not seeing anything on the screen 80% of the time today was a little... weird.

I'm getting just the lightest bit of rain this morning as the large system slides southeast of me. Once again the apparent dome covering my town is depriving us of any significant rain.

Dining alfresco with Mrs. rjones28. Chicken on the grill (salt and pepper and couple of herbs - no sauce) various sides. Fire in the pit.

There's 100% that the raspberry tasted bad, but I was giving MoAlpha plausible deniability.

Looking at the morning Strava feed, I see that an acquaintance in the neighborhood (well, I've actually never met her, but I've ridden with her husband a handful of times) did the DaMN yesterday (Day across MN). As the name implies, it's a ride from border to border (SD and WI) in one day. Not sure how much the route varies, but her ride was 242 miles (she had a moving time a little under 20 hours). In the arena of one-day biking accomplishments idiocy, I think that this is about as dumb as I'd get.
Doublecross | White Clay Bicycle Club
Took much less than 20 hours.

Unfortunately for me, no riding this weekend, but we've been having lots of fun celebrating Mrs. Abshipp's big 30

Dawdled getting out of the door on my recovery ride, so I ended up having to ride it quite a bit harder than intended so that I could get back in time for family fun stuff obligations.
