Notable racers and teams competing on early Trek frames?

Did any notable racers or racing teams compete on early Trek frames such as 750, 950 and 170 steel frames? Who were some of the first riders sponsored by Trek?

IIRC, Trek provided the bicycles for 7-Eleven's women squad, circa 1982-1985. Cindy Olavarri and Rebecca Twigg were probably the two most famous members during this period. I'd have to look up the actual years.

Wasn't Connie Carpenter on the early Trek teams too?

I don't recall who Connie rode for in her early days. I know she won at least one national road championship for Puch in the very early 1980s before switching to Levi's-Raleigh for the mid-1980s.

I did an image search and found Twigg on a cycling magazine cover holding a white Trek.

I went back through some old pictures and verified that the women's 7-Eleven squad rode Trek 1984-1986. In 1987 the bicycle sponsor switched to Huffy, but Twigg apparently liked her Trek, as I have seen one photo of her on it, with an attempt made to scratch off the decals. I haven't found anything for 1983 or earlier (yet).
