It shouldn't be to hard to carve the face/skull out of the body filler using a dremel and scribe etc.
Bond it to the frame and carve it in situ.

dr. deltron: most of the people in the alt section are DIY, hence the questions on how you did it. most of the people here get bikes out of the trash, customize them without help and so on, so your witholding of info, and advertising for yourself prolly arent the best ideas? why pay a crapload of money to have you paint our bikes when most of us can do it ourselves with a 2 dollar can of krylon?
i love your paint, your bikes, etc, just giving you a heads up?

The story behind the faces is a long and involved one.
In short, I have on hand a few of the urethane faces.
If anyone would like a DIY blank, I can send you one for $25.
I only have a few, and some are reserved for me to include in complete paint jobs.
PM me if interested.
Sorry mods, I had to list some kind of price, due to where this thread was headed.

I guess it's because it's a white skull on a dark paint job, but the skull seems much less "naturally freakishly protruding" than the first face did. If I were doing one it would definetely be more like the first.

And require 2 cups of coffee and a slap upside the head to "wake-up" to what's going on sometimes.
I also don't hang in the Alt section much, so I wasn't aware that many here are DIYers.
And thanks for the "thumbs up"!
as a note, the reason I became a bike painter was because I figured, why pay somebody an insane amount of money to get my bike painted. I could do it myself. So now here I am, 35 yrs later and I'M the guy charging insane amounts to paint bikes!
But I make about $10/hour (or less) to do it.
So I paint houses or landscape for $30/hour. It all evens out for this lowly househusband.

The special Bondo that I use is a very fine grained Bondo that is used for spot puttying.
Glazing putty, from what I remember of it, is just a laquer based goop and is NOT catalysed.
The stuff I use requires a hardener, like Bondo.
And a little goes a long way. The 1/2 full can I have, I've had for like 15 years!
