Rossin frame and fork SOLD,
This is a circa 1990 (my estimate) Rossin frame and fork. I think officially it's a 59 as that's what is stamped on the BB shell, but the Spaghetti Legs sizing system it's a 57. Top tube 57 cm c-c Seat tube 58 cm c-c, 17 cm head tube. Italian thread BB of course with 27.2 seat tube and 130 mm rear spacing.
I'm not sure of the model and would love to hear thoughts on this. It has "SPX" stamped on the BB and that would make sense for a frame this size, but I don't find any spirals in the frame, only the fork, so Columbus SL? My guess is the decals aren't original as they seem kind of thick. Several paint scrapes which I've been in the process of touching up and I removed the NDS decals as they were chewed up. When I got the bike the NDS dropout screw was broken off, so I drilled it out, dinging the threads a little. The hardware store replacement screws work fine with a little Teflon tape on the NDS one. I think this would make a really good rider, possibly a nice retro mod candidate. I've been plugging away at rehabbing it but enthusiasm waned as I've realized a really want an earlier model Rossin. Plus I have another red bike on the way and other projects in the pipeline.

Yeah, looks like it to me. This one has round tubes though. I thought this might be an early version of a Performance although all the ones I’ve seen on line are welded.

1990, the Records started having the really cool dropouts with the Ghibli BB shells. So yours is either an earlier 1987-88 Ghibli, or a really odd Record with crossover tube/lugs/dropouts/shell?

The number hanger on this one makes me wonder if it was a custom or team build.

This is one of those unique beauties that makes me do the mental inventory of parts bins. Not that I would really settle for that build anyways... Then I remember how long I've been dealing with my current project (57cm TT SLX Italian - coincidence?) and decide it's not the best idea for a multitude of reasons. Guessing I'm not the only one. GLWS! (Someone erase my memory now PLEASE)
