Sarcastic comment.
NBC commentators spent a good bit of time leading up to this bragging about the women's race. The race happens and we hear snippets from a female talking head about the race situation and then see the last 100 meters of the race. While they talk about the men's race. If you want to successfully promote women's racing, at least give it some air time.

Ah, sarcasm. Got it.

Nice illiteration I'm just going to ignore the whole last 10km of that stage
How dumb, boring as heck then TJs wrapped in a bike!? Blasts past the turn I was incredulous. Then I see a huge piece of plastic and blam! What a comedy of errors.
Sergio is my hero today

And three days. Pathetic. It's like they don't think the women can handle it, yet they brag on it. The infrastructure is there, use it.
They did the same thing last year with the women's race during le Tour. I don't even remember the name of the event, that is how successful they were.

Slightly off-topic, but noticed Ineos has been almost exclusively using rim-brake F12's all week, even on fast descent stages. Maybe I'm a fan of that team after all.

I always assumed that women's races were shorter, due to inherent "bathroom concerns", and female anatomy, etc. Might be a fun way to boost ratings though. We already sat through Bob Roll wiping his butt at the '87 Tour (see 38:20). He was the first American sportsman ever to be shown on TV doing this.
How could seeing some women racers answering the call of nature be any worse?

That was a great race up Baldy. Why oh why did Higuita take that turn wide? He blew it right there. Congrats to the other kid Pogacar!

At Santa Clarita after the Ventura ride and before the Ontario Mt Baldy to Pasadena ride. Was nice to see the after race bike cleanups and many of the team trucks and cars with stock of bike. Was also nice to talk with some of the mechanics and riders at the hotel. Also showing a few pictures of the training tables for prerace fueling up.
Glad that Curtis Wright sponsored the Santa Clarity
I do love the Colnago's
Breakfast
SRAM transports
More of the team transports

Not complaining about length per day, complaining about number of days and lack of real coverage.
As stated, there are 'disadvantages' that the women have when it comes to nature breaks which have to be accounted for. That doesn't change the ability to string more than three days together in the saddle. But more than that, why don't they get more air time?
And I want so badly for T J to win. All these years of pulling for him and it always ends when things get hard.

As for TJ. I don't know what his part in this was, but UCI making 3K extend to 10K feels like a bunch of home cooking. Again, I don't know the logic, but seems pretty clear if was an EF mistake. This is supposed to be a team sport.
I got into it with our team director because my son used different (Shimano) pedals than the team and a bike swap with a teammate could not be done. The brake thing is on EF.

Schachmann flying off the front before Baldy was awesome!
How intensely frustrating for Porte, dropping a chain and finishing +:09 back?
So I have a question, how will Saturday turn out? Will there be wild positioning for the time bonuses? How will EF, Decunick and UAE handle it?

Anyway TJs predicament is water under the bridge now. I wonder if officials are trying to coverup why there was a huge piece of plastic blowing across the road. I wonder if Moscon was hurt and couldn't do well today because of it.

What would cause that to change?

teams or endorsements or physical personalization) and the riders ultimate comfort is ultimately more productive towards overall total results vs that once or twice a year where a teammate has to use another's bike midrace?
or does it vary from team to team or if you're the lead dog?

forgive my ignorance but it seems like team component (etc) uniformity would prevent against either occurrence referenced...or is it just a case now where the riders have more say as to personal preferences (from previous
teams or endorsements or physical personalization) and the riders ultimate comfort is ultimately more productive towards overall total results vs that once or twice a year where a teammate has to use another's bike midrace?

Whats up with the race fans running alongside the riders up Mt Baldy and getting so close that they almost interfered with a few riders progression uphill. On several occassions they did get in the way of riders trying to go around the rider in front of them.Looks like alot of the fans were looking more for TV time than actually urging the Riders On.
Hopefully they put a stop this this silly practice.
BTW, The Mt Baldy Stage was pretty awesome and the final fight to the Finish was pretty exciting. Decided by only a few seconds and a late race surge made for great racing.
