Hello from Rhode Island
My latest acquisition: a 1931 Raleigh Sports Model 37
Hello, my name is Kevin Kavanaugh and I live in Cumberland, RI. I have been riding bicycles for over 50 years and I still can't think of another way to spend a nice day. My first "real" bicycle was a hand-me down 1965 Raleigh Sports 3 speed from my father. Later on I bought my first 10-speed and I rode 10 speeds and mountain bikes for years afterwards.
Now that I'm getting older and a bit thicker, I have returned to my love of old English 3 speeds. They are durable, comfortable, and perfect for the bike paths. I have a 1965 and 1969 Raleigh Sports as well as a 1964 Triumph 3 speed.
Last fall I found a 1931 Raleigh Sports Tourist Model 37 on Cape Cod for $50. It was dirty and grimy with petrified tires but I've spent the winter cleaning her up. I hope to be riding this bike in the Spring if I can remember where all the parts go.

Hey Kevin,
There is nothing wrong with a 3 speed....and it sounds like you found another nice one at a great price, getting it on the road for spring sounds like a great plan.
Welcome, Ben
