Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I ordered 172.5 Campy cranks. I just noticed that today 4/7 there is tracking information from CT. on the DHL website. I'm thinking that maybe the frame and parts are coming together now that it's getting into the second week of April. Who knows....maybe those of us on the East Coast will begin seeing frames in another 4 days or so?

Nope, and it's not a big deal... I have patience and I'd rather they pack orders than answer a bazillion e-mails from every buyer about every part ordered..... Just wondering.....

You should email them...i doubt the guy packing boxes is the same guy answering your email.

I'm about to email them to see if they have an update on when i can get my frame. I think that's fair.

Does anyone have the same "issue" as me?

On the PF website under my order I've the $200 RS2 Deposit, then the remainder of the order for the rest of the frame and parts is just, "1 x RS2". It doesn't list any of the components I specified when I used the config to finalize my order.

I wrote them to make sure I had purchased insurance. I also wanted to see if I could switch headsets. I got this reply, which may imply that the frames are at PF now. I replied and asked if that was the case.

You did purchase insurance.

It is too late to make any changes now as the frames are already started to be packed. We cannot pull your order out to make changes at this point.

Pedal Force

Got this just now (they are up late over there...)

That's just fine if mine came in one of the first batches Go ahead and ship them Pedalforce! If nothing else, we will have something to look at here instead of just speculating.

Damnit, I need to get the insurance and I don't have the link here at work. If someone could post that here or PM it to me I'd be very grateful.

My wife just called me on my blackberry. My frame came in about 10 mins ago (10:40 EST). I asked her to take a pic and email it to me, but she wouldn't. Can't wait to get home now!

YOU LIE!

I got another response from my inquiry last night, which was regarding when the frames would ship as i am going to be moving in a few weeks.

The following email is like that final scene from Contact where she says "It's not that the video was static, it's that it was 16 hours of static". So, it's not interesting that he tells me this, it's interesting that he tells me this and i didn't tell him when i was moving

The funniest part, for me, is that I have not once gone back in to check on my order status; with the exception of when PF emailed me, un prompted, to ask why I put in a reserve for the red frame/fork, but when I finalized the order, I put in for a black frame/red fork. I didn't even need to follow up on that end, because they asked over email if it was ok to charge my card for the extra $30 for the paint. I was out getting coffee and decided I would check when I got back in. My wife called me before I had a chance. I was so excited, I couldn't wait until I got back to my office to post, so I got out of line and got on BF to gloat

That said, I will point out that I never received any shipment notification from PF, nor does there appear to be any indication that it shipped on PFs site.

I'll be sure to take pics this evening and report if there were any problems with my frame.

Thats exactly what I wanted to know, as I don't see any indication on my PF account page.

I checked at DHL.com, Maryland is one transit day away from CT. I am also 1 day away but the DHL guy usually doesn't make it to my neighborhood until very late afternoon.

Did you have any parts packed with it or just the frame? (I'm wondering if they are getting us frame only orders out first).

Update: Well, one of my 2 tracking numbers is no longer valid on DHL's webpage so I'm assuming that everything is going to ship as one package now (red group, rival group, frameset)

Just the frame and fork... I might have had them throw in some spacers and a 'carbo-lock' thing-a-majig. I was in the middle of a trial and working crazy late hours. At the time, it seemed like a necessary part for me... I never checked back on it though I think a headset too? I really can't remember.
