I have these if any of them interest you. 8 different pairs of pedal toe clips with 4 nylon straps and assorted mounting hardware. One pair Mira steel clips size Large, one pair Christophe steel clips size Large, one pair Sakae plastic clips size Small, one pair Cateye plastic clips size small, one pair Cateye plastic clips size Medium, one pair VP plastic clips size Large, one pair VP plastic clips size Small, and one pair Tioga plastic clips size Large.

There's a small amount of corrosion on inside of one of the Christophe clips. Others are in excellent condition.

ISO vintage 6 speed INDEX Thumb shifter

Converting an older 1980's Univerga with downtube Suntour shifters to upright bars for housemate. She is a everyday rider, but would love to have indexed just because she is just "not mechanical". Is there such a thing? I see el cheapos online, but hoping you guys/gals will steer me in the right direction. 22.2 handlebars. Thanks for your help. Cheers!

I'm not the definitive expert on this, but I think Suntour's only indexing was Accushift, which will need the specially spaced freewheels and cassettes for 'perfect' indexing. They had 6 and 7 speed indexed thumbies for ATB's, but without that idiomatic spacing, you're probably only going to get mediocre indexed shifting.

Second Edit:
You said Suntour, and I automatically assumed you wanted to stick with them. Unless you're using an Accushift cluster, there's no need to stick with them. It's probable that modern "el-cheapo" will accomplish the task just as well as a 6 speed-era Shimano indexed thumbie (if such a thing was made).

^^^^^ What Unca Sam said. If the bike has standard spaced cogs, Sram or Shimano indexing thumbies should work. Specially spaced cogs will be an endless frustration for her unless she has the compatible shifters.

Hey Unca and dweenk,

I don't see any reference to Accushift on the downtube shifters, and the rear mech has no decals, only a "SUNTOUR" stamped on the front. Rear mech is also the open style, short cage that you can pull the chain out of with out opening the chain. Cluster is the impossible to wear out, 14-32 square edged cogs inscibed with "Suntour, Perfect,(in Italics) Made in Japan".
I think this means it is NOT Accushift. I can post photos if there is any question. Would be delighted to not have to put another derailluer and cluster on the back if "el cheapos" or even some nice old "non accushift" Shimanos will work.
THANKS and I will watch for response.
Cheers!

In that case, I have a pair of NIB Shimano thumbies (actually more like Rapid Fire in that there is a lever and button). Model is SL-TX30 SIS index. These are resin body shifters with the internal cables. PM me if interested.

26.6 seat post

I need a seat post for a 1980s Nishiki Olympic 12. My guess is 26.6 based on Sheldon and a quick measure with old calipers. rider quality is fine.
my good calipers are hiding. If you have seen them, tell them to come home and I will give them a better battery and put them in their case.
I have some random stuff for trade, or will purchase. Let me know what ya need and maybe we can both win.

give them away? I sourced a pair of 6207 pedals that i paired with 105 clips, but i wouldn't mind spares. Those dust caps are fragile!
I'm not sure what I have to offer in trade, what are you looking for?

If you absolutely HAVE to get rid of them I'm sure I could find them a good home. Maybe powdercoated black on the C'dale Black Lightning?

hmmm
now that I’ve found a seat post those pedals might work out well on my 83 Nishiki Olympic build if they still need a home.

Posting on behalf of another BF'er over in this thread: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...-problems.html

They could use a proper Stronglight P3 or V4 headset for a PX10 build that's otherwise proper.

I have a stack of P3/V4/S5 parts. After digging, I'm a P3 top nut and Stronglight crown race away from having enough to donate OP a complete P3 headset. Don't suppose anyone can pitch in so we can help OP get a proper headset on their PX10?
