Why is Specialized Tarmac cheaper than Roubaix?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I happen to own a 2002 Fuji Roubaix.

Do you carry water bottles or bidons? Do you wear vests or gilets? Way more impressive if you do/use the latter.

The former in both cases. I also wear stretchy clothing, not "kit."

My water bottles magically become bidons when I am riding my French bike.

Mine magically becomes a bidet when I get un peu sticky down there, comme les Français. Pics on request.

Vests and bottles on gravel.

Gilets and bidons on road bikes.

Coat of chain mail and wineskins when riding fixed.
