Whoa - I was going to post this last night but was lazy and figured I'd share it today. Imagine my surprise when it was already snapped up this morning!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Albert-Eise...p2047675.l2557

Actually, I guess it's not too surprising. This is one of the best-looking 'Trauts I've ever seen.

Gios Torino, painted by Brian Baylis, and a Buffalo Nickel?

Awesome Gios Torino painted by Brian Baylis, someone, let me know what the buffalo nickel is about! I’m intrigued!

In San Diego on Craigslist, $650

That's a lot of money for a bike with a badly bent back rim. The Nickle is probably for good luck.

I believe that the Gios used to be a stock Super Record, but was modified at the time of the repaint -- the top tube cable guides have been removed and internal cable routing added, as well as a second set of water bottle bosses added to the seat tube. Decals are also not to original spec. As for the nickels, the original Gios Super Record frames had Gios "coins" in the fork crown; they have been replaced in this instance by the buffalo nickels.

Wow, thanks for the info and great eye! A Baylis restoration would be a prize, I love how he tweaked the original just enough to put his own mark on it. But, it is just way too small for me

This looks like a 1981 Trek 950- Columbus, dual TREK panels, two sets of bottle bosses with diamonds, recessed nut caliper mounting, and reinforcement at the brake bridge. Mismatched wheels.

Lost the original Gios "coin," and the nickel is a good fit to replace it.

I don't mind when fine racing bikes are modified and made to look doofy if it suits the rider's purposes. It might be quite enjoyable for all I know.

Maybe A Rerun?

Schwinn Prelude - $125 (Carrboro)

"Up for sell is a 1980s Schwinn Prelude with a steel (cromoly) frame. The previous owner replaced the rear derailleur with a Shimano 105, but the rest of the bike has the original Suntour components. Since I have had the bike, it has gotten a new front wheel and pedals. The bike is in fair condition now, but changing the shifter cables would make it run more smoothly. This is a large bike and probably best for people over 6', but I'm about 5'11" and it was still comfortable. Feel free to contact me if you have questions or want to try it out.

bicycle frame material: steel
bicycle type: road
condition: fair
frame size: 63 cm
make / manufacturer: Schwinn
model name / number: Prelude
wheel size: 27 in"

Paging @bianchigirl

https://boston.craigslist.org/nos/ct...946314083.html

1961 Autobianchi Bianchina Special Cabriolet - $30000 (Danvers)

Originally called Bianchi and founded in 1899, the company made a wide variety of vehicles for 56 years. Bianchi was based in Milan, Italy and in January 1955 it merged with Pirelli and Fiat to become Autobianchi SpA and produced Fiat 500 based small cars.

In 1960 after selling its shares to its partners, Fiat and Pirelli, Autobianchi introduced at the Geneva Salon, the prettiest model of this series, the Bianchina Special Convertible, a little luxury car, with lots of chrome trim and attractive interior fittings. The indicators were fitted separately below the headlights (not on the bumper guards). The radiator changed and two sweeping ornamental moldings decorated both sides. The cooling slots on the side behind the doors and chrome borders below the body edge were eliminated. The windscreen became more angular.

The Autobianchi Special Cabriolet has the Fiat 500 Sport motor and is rarer and, perhaps, even more attractive than the coupe.

No. of Cylinders: 2
Horsepower: 22
No. produced: 9,000
Weight: 495Kg
Starter: Electric
Gearbox: 4 = reverse
Brakes: Hydraulic
Electrics: 12Volt
Interior: 2+2
Top Speed: 105 kph

This example was imported from Italy 20+ years ago and has been meticulously maintained and serviced since. It has a clear MA title and can be yours for $36,000, firm.

(One of the couple of thousand original Teledyne Titans, I suspect. A bit ambitious in pricing, given seller doesn't seem to know what they have? Interesting further reading here, and here. I've emailed seller for the serial number, but in my efforts to avoid N+, I don't want this. No sir, no more gruel.)

Further information on this Teledyne Titan, from the seller:

"Here is all the info that I could get from the bike. Hope this helps. I did get some pics but my phone died so I am waited for it to recharge. didn't get a pic of the number on the frame as I didn't see it at first but then I did when I looked close.
there is a number on the bottom of the frameit is S/N TL002161actual brakes on the front tire say SCOTT/MATHAUSER WRims have a sticker that says ARAYA JAPAN 700C(14X622) center of the rim between the spokes say SHIMANOTires say PANARACERE PASELA 700X28CSeat tube measures 23 12" from the top where the seat post goes in to the weld at the bottom Top tube measures 21" front to seat tubeHead tube is 24" from nut at top to where is connects to the wheel. could be 1 1/2" less if you only see where the frame color is at the top. slanted bottom bar that connects to the Head tube and the to to bottom measures 23 1/2 "(So it could be a viable rider.)

Absolutely good deal. Simplex shifters and spare wheelset alone are worth the price and the frame would be a good project for someone with a torch.

You Portland guys better hustle to this skyscraper Trek. COLUMBUS TUBING 910!! $350 as the seller hasn't touched it and is lamenting doing so for fear there is no market. I emailed him to let him know that there are tall vintage Trek fans that would absolutely love this bike.

I'm not able to pick it up, plus I already have a 710 with near the same specs (if slightly shorter TT) that I'm building up to sell, and it's a sweet 531 bike. It and that 910 suffer, to me, the same fate of illogically-low rear brake bridges. The front can take a 32 or 35mm tire and the rear can only take a 28mm tire (chainstays could handle 32mm). It'd be a keeper otherwise. I'm not looking to take the 650B plunge at this time either. Maybe I'm a fool. Eh, whatever. The treasures are for others--I have plenty of my own!

A hundred bucks for a Reynolds 753 Bob Jackson? Are you kidding me?!?! I guess the crack must be scaring people away. Reynolds 753 and "in need of frame repair" is generally a bad combination, but at that price if it were anywhere near my size I'd be talking to @gugie about whether or not he could fix it. It wouldn't be nearly the worst 753 frame I talked to him about.
