Bethpage State Park Closure May

It's been reported here with accompanying photo's that the park will be closed during the PGA tournament starting May 2nd thru the 24th
The CLIMB Facebook page noted this:

"Attention Bethpage Park users, the paved path and the trails will be open for use during the golf tournament but between May 13-19 they will be patrolled by mounted police. The picnic area parking lot will be closed to the public a bit before and after the event for set up and clean up."

Thanks for posting that info. Of course they still have the hopefully misleading signs up. I never noticed the repair station before, so park gets kudos for that.

It's at the spot where the paved MUP and one of the MTB trails enter the Bethpage picnic area parking lot. I accidentally caught a MTBer barreling down the hill in an orange jersey behind the repair stand.

The signs at the park have been changed to state "Picnic Area Closed".
