Interesting hub QRs. What are they?
Interesting that the rear brake cable uses clips instead of the original split guides. Personal choice, or the way it came to you?
Looks like it'll clean up nicely

On the skewers/hubs...I know I've seen these once before, but I don't recall what they were. Hoping someone here knows!
The prior owner...I've had the bike for all of an hour (facilitating the sale).

About as nice as a Schwinn (Waterford excluded) came. Nice bike, even if made for someone unnaturally tall.

Be she wearing a shop transfer?
Asking because a Schwinn dealer near me was a big time Weyless stockist at this time.

74-75 seems about right to me too, and consistent with the pat.

Although the '73 catalog showed the Olympic Ring seat tube decal, most 73's looked like the one you have from what I've been able to determine. Whether the very early 73's came with the Olympic Rings and they did a mid-model change or Schwinn used a photo of a '72 in the catalog, I don't know. The braze-on cable guides and fork do indicate a P-10.
Do you have a serial number?

Looks like 73257, which doesn't fit the decoder that I found.

For readers unfamiliar with Weyless products they also offered pedals, saddle pillars, water bottles & cages, clothing and...rollers.

NDS drop-out is the correct location. The first two digits, '73' would indicate a 1973 manufacture. Not sure why there is no letter prefix; maybe a mis-stamp or very light strike that got filled with chrome?

My first "race bike" was a Schwinn Continental, red like your Paramount. As a junior racer, a Paramount was on my "want" list. My folks got a deal on a blue '64 Legnano Roma, from our shop sponsor, who wasn't a Schwinn dealer. I've had the Legnano since new, and love it, but still have a Paramount on my "bucket want list". Lucky find, enjoy!

It looks like I'm getting myself a very nice Paramount. Lots of thanks to KonAaron Snake for getting this bike for me and at a very reasonable price to boot. I'm very excited about receiving this bike. It's amazing that people would do favors for others they haven't met. I agree with Spaghetti Legs. There's a special place in heaven for you.
I'd been looking for a Paramount for quite a while and it wasn't easy. In the process, I learned a bit about Waterford bikes and its historic relationship with Schwinn. And coincidentally, I bought a Waterford thru Ebay a day or so before Aaron posted this Paramount on the Forum. Now I have two bikes coming in.
I think I need intervention.

Others have helped me...it all comes around in this community. It's really not a problem. I wouldn't own half of the cool bikes I own without the people here.
Your Paramount is really going to clean up nicely.

Schwinn Paramount has been disassembled, cleaned, polished, and put back together. It shows minimal wear and not a bit of corrosion on the frame nor pitting on the chrome. It will be part of my long term collection for sure.
