hay, we've got three stages of the 2019 amgen tour of california that touch on/are entirely in socal.

thurs, may 16th-pismo beach > ventura
fri, may 17th gmr/grr loop > mt. baldy ski lifts
sat, may 18th santa clarita > pasadena

anyone hitting any/multiple stage(s)? will do the fri stage to mt. baldy but post up on gmr to catch both the descent and the ascent of the peleton.

Definitely doing the Baldy stage. They have both the men and women racing on Baldy that day, so extra bonus spectating! We usually go to the first KOM point, watch everyone go by, then get lunch and either go to the top for the finish or part way, like to Phil's cookie corner to watch everyone go by a second time.

the gmr/baldy stage was a blast! thousands and thousands of riders along the route. weather in the mtns was not as windy as projected but it was overcast and a little chilly. still, it didn’t dampen the enthusiasm for the ladies or men’s race.

Ha, we were in the crowd. We got to the Village just before the women zipped by, and then stayed in Baldy Village, just up the hill from the restaurant.
Lots and lots of cyclists and fans. Fun day.
Now to see if we can take the chill of the Lobster Ride. Getting a late start from our San Dimas hotel room.
