Upgrading to LiFePO4 51.2V 10AH 60A rate from SLA

I have just ordered a LiFePO4 51.2V 10AH 60A rate battery with PCM from Batteryspace.com (AA Portable Power). Check out these links:

Battery pack LFP-51V 10Ah includes PCM below, using cells below, $559
or $631 with tax, S&H in CA. https://tinyurl.com/yd95jm2

Single Cell: 38120P 10 AH, 50 A constant dischg/100A max LiFePO4 cylindrical cell,
5-20 each, $31.28
https://tinyurl.com/ybjropw

(Separate) PCM-LFP 51.2V 60A*$166.95
https://tinyurl.com/yasz6bt

Has anyone bought/used any of these , or have any experience with them or the company?
Can you recommend a 6-10A charger for this battery?

Thanks! Dan

You need to be very careful to check the specs on your controller when buying a LIFEPO4 battery sold with a battery management system (and that's what the "PCM" is on that battery). Why? The computer board that will manage battery charging and discharging may well cut off the battery at a lower amp rate than demanded by your controller, resulting in a non-operable battery when you hit the throttle. For example, the controller on the Currie conversion kit that I installed can demand 35 amps. It's hard to find a BMS that will handle that level of power without buying a 15-20 AH battery, minimum. The 10AH battery management systems just won't allow that level of amp drainage. Good luck. Check out these batteries, they're a much better buy IMHO. https://elitepowersolutions.com/produ...products_id=74

Looking at the Battery Space page (sorry, but I don't go to links to tinyurl.com), it looks like the maximum discharge rate for those batteries will be adequate. However, price-wise, I think it's high. You could buy 4 12V 20AH Thunder Sky packs to make a 48V 20AH pack from Elite Power Solutions for $480. (Shipping would be reasonable for you since you're in California and Elite Power is in Arizona.)

Thanks nwmtnbkr for the inputs. I did take a look at the TS packs and the solutions from EPS. The packaging is attractive, but the discharge current is only 2C. I was looking for a high rate discharge cell, and the one I selected (actually made by Headway I believe) is rated at 50A (5C) continuous, 100A peak. The BMS is provided with the battery, and specs from the mfgr (Beyondpower) show it to be capable of providing up to 60A. My controller is a 48V40A Crystalyte controller, so it should be adequate. The hub motor is Crystalyte 5305, which will handle the power. As for the cost, the BMS is included with the battery for a Total of $559. I don't believe the EPS TS packs also include the BMS for the $480 price. Buying from Arizona would eliminate taxes, which are $54.50, with S&H at $17.50. My goal is a cylindrical high power cell with a long cycle life, and as stated, I have already purchased the battery and BMS.

I am still looking for a good 10Amp charger, and if possible, individual battery-balancing PCM's I can attach for better balancing of individual cells, similar to the ones from EPS. I would have to get the battery from EPS to use theirs however.
