Nice wheelset! Ambrosio Elite 19's were the first lightweight rims I ever bought to mod up my Peugeot PH10s back in the 80's. Strong but lightweight. I got the black hard anodized version. Really pretty on my bike. Tires were a bit hard to put on, but got very easy after the foldable beads in the turbo got stretched a bit.

Understatement of the year. I haven't managed to get a set of 700c tires on mine, tried about four different new tires. I did get a pair of 27" rims to seat and and inflate on them. Too scared to ride them that way, though

Includes the tires because they won't come off.

My other set of rims are Arrowhead-A23. I fear no tire!

I wonder what the chances are that I could find a 7 speed Shimano cassette for that threading.

Your chances depend almost entirely on your ability to pay!

I have a set of these that were built up on Nuovo Record hubs around '80, and have never had troubles with them either, including tire mounting. I had more trouble with a new pair of Conti GP4Seasons on a set of Mavic MA-2s, though I think I read where Contis have gotten tighter in the last couple of years or so.
