Adaptive Cycling: Handcycles, Amputee Adaptation, Visual Impairment, and Other Needs Have a need for adaptive equipment to ride to compensate for a disability or loss of limb or function? This area is for discussion among those of us in the cycling world that are coming back from traumatic circumstances and tell the world, "No, you are not going to beat me down!"

First ride in a while .... but I remembered how

I took my first ride in seven weeks this afternoon. I did seven or so miles on a recently opened segment of the Schuylkill River Trail, from Cromby trailhead north of Phoenixville to Bridge Street in Spring City. The stretch is only three miles, so I rode part of it again, simply because I could.

I'll have some photos a little later....

I had condo problems and had to move out March 2010 until it is rebuilt. Eventually I got both of my trikes to my temporary rental apartment until the rebuild. Bought a child trailer to put my wheelchair into years ago; but I have no room here. I haven't ridden a while. Last Saturday I bought another trike that will carry my wheelchair; but I test rode it before purchase - and talk about being sore and 'rusty'.
