Fuji America geometry changes over the years?

Anyone know how how the Fuji America's geometry changed over the years? I'm trying to figure out how a pre braze on's 1978 America would compare to a 1980's fuji S12-s with braze on's. I'm primarily looking for relative fork rake and tire clearance. Thanks, Woody

I have a 76 or 77 America frame in the cave. Perhaps I can take it's measurements to give you a useful comparison.

It took a little digging on your site. I wouldn't have found it if I had given up on the first dead link or the corrupted wayback machine snapshot of said dead link. I dont know if you can do "sticky's" on your blog but this is some great info. Thanks for hosting it.

The 1986 Touring Series V has the same geometry as the America and the S10S models listed above with one exception. Fork rake is 55mm. Chain stays and frame angles are the same. Looks as though they settled on a standard for touring frames and stuck with it.

So I don't have accurate means to measure angles so here's the approximate measurements for a 54 cm '76 America. Most numbers are similar except the chainstay length is longer. To me, that implies the angles have to be different since the dropout to dropout length (wheelbase) is the same. Perhaps a lower bottom bracket? Hope this helps.

Thanks for taking these measurements. Unfortunately some one closer to the bike got there first.
