Wooden top cap

I had some Moradillo in the garage from other projects. I turned this on a drill since I don't have a lathe. Took a few minutes while BSing with the neighbor during my kids' nap time.

I like it. I didn't expect it to match my bar tape so well.

I've made... a couple. Apologies for the image sizes, these are from my Imgur from a few years ago. At told, I've probably made... a hundred? Hundred and twenty? Probably still have a few dozen in various drawers.

Are you machining an aluminum base on a lathe?

Yeah, I use 1.625" aluminum rod to rough out bases, and fit them with whatever wood scrap I have lying around.

You can check out the gallery I did of stem cap making waaaay back in the summer of 2015.
