RSX 7 speed shifters and canti's?

On a roll with build questions (getting motivated it appears). How do RSX 7 brifters work with early 90's shimano cantilevers? Modern gravel grinders have all the advantages with their fancy disc brakes but our retro mods can be fussier? I've got this Specialized Crossroads where the Exage brakes are nothing less that superlative in finesse and power. I'll keep the flat bars if I have to lose that transitioning to drop bars and brifters.

i've used ultegra 6500 brifters quite satisfactorily with deore dx post mount canti's and quick links. the 6500's have the same brake lever pull and the post mount coupled with a quick link allows me to really tune the pad/rim approach. wet or dry.... i really like them

oh, and salmon kool stops, of course

Used that on a drop bar conversion, RSX 3x7 STIs with STX cantis. They should have the same pull as the original brake levers, and worked fine (very dependant on brake pads in my case), but I'm not really discerning.

My daughter's 1999 Bianchi Volpe runs stock Tektro 917A cantilever brake calipers with Shimano RSX levers. It works very well.

I'm running claris 8 speed brifters with suntour xc pro cantilevers on a '93 Bridgestone XO 2; the combo works flawlessly.

I had RSX 7sp brifters with some Altus C50 canti brakes, worked like a charm.

6-0...it's a rout! Like USA - Thailand.

Rapinoe is my hero but enough about that.
