@rgvg @devinfan thanks guys, it's a bunch of loose ends from Newbaums rolls. Took about 2 hours or so. It was a fun experiment, but it's not quite my style. I'm in the middle of doing a makeover on the bike, it's about to look a whole lot different.

As far as I can tell, the only non-original parts are the platform pedals, and a Suzue rear hub!
I had the same bike, my first "real" roadie, not counting a $100 '76 Free Spirit and a $10 Schwinn Varsity. I think I paid $250 used in 1987, after going in for an Ironman and getting sticker shock,. I traded it several months later for a Sony Discman and 20 CD's. At the time, a great deal.

No kidding. A Sony Discman was a luxury item in ‘87/‘88 and CD’s were ridiculously expensive with their inflated sticker prices!

Did you have a another bike to ride at the time of the trade?

I’ve gone periods without a bike before. Sometimes years, sometimes weeks. I hope, and intend on never being without again though. For as long as my body and mind let me ride...
