Yes it is interesting. Wonder how it rides? Is it stiff, or compliant? I love to see variations on things, where folks take the basic idea and then modify it to create unique interpretations. Looks to be in great shape and might be worth owning especially since it is a first edition. Was there a second edition? Never heard of the brand.

I always wanted one of those. It is cast Magnesium. I rarely see them on ebay and they are always expensive! Looks like an SR/Litage fork - I have one on my '85 Cannondale.

My boss just had one of these painted, it was set up new as a MTB for a friend of his and now it is going to be set up as a road bike sporting Sram Red components, he tried getting decals for it before sending it out for paint but after a bunch of unanswered Emails to the guy in Europe that had them listed he gave up. Really cool frame design and the blue paint he had done looks killer in the sun. I am sure I will post pics of it when he finally builds it up.

Interesting bike.
$500 doesn't sound like a bad price for a unique piece of cycling history. However, it appears as if that frame has been built up from parts, so the stem is definitely modern, and the groupset appears to me to be a few steps down from the top. I'd expect the bike to be built with Dura Ace, or a high-end Campy groupset.
Those may be sewups, as expected, but the rims are suffering from brake rub on anodized surfaces.
So, restoration/rebuilding wouldn't be cheap.
Hopefully he has some good photos of the bike from before painting. Perhaps photos of the decals someone was selling. Then, with a laser printer, one should be able to print one's own decals or waterslides. Or with a laser cutter, cut stencils.

Might these frames eventually have an issue with the magnesium aging and getting brittle?.
It's a problem well known in the car racing world. My uncle had to change out the original Halibrand magnesium wheels on his 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 some years ago, because of this....

H Lloyd is who he tried and got no response from, he doesn't do Ebay and he didn't say anything to me until he got the frame back. I will check those links and let him know, he said he will send the frame back and have the decals installed and cleared over when he finds them. Oh, he is putting Sram Rival components on it not Red as I posted above, also he told me it was a Ford color he had it painted in.

When I got my first Job in the power equipment repair business we used to install what is called a Bow Bar on a lot of chainsaws, back then most saws used Magnesium on all of the covers around the motors, we would have to modify the side clamp covers for clearance for the bar. We would use a hacksaw then save all the shavings until we had a good pile then light them up lol.

Yes, when I was a kid, I have, in the form of a Mini Cooper race car with Minilite Magnesium wheels. It started with an engine fire while they were refueling the car at the paddocks in front of where I was watching the race with my Mom and brothers while my dad was doing race course marshal duties with his friends. The fire was white hot at four corners of the car and the race course firemen could not put water on the fire because of the explosive effect that it would have had with the magnesium on fire. They had to let the whole car burn to nothing. All that was left of the car after the fire was white ash at the corners and just a black mess of melted asphalt and car in between them.

There was one out and about at Eroica Cali this year. I find these strangely attractive - even better if it had a matching or chrome fork, and I in general can't stand the modern robo-bike look.
