New KC Rider
Switching over from Harleys to pedal bikes. Being diabetic and well over weight my Dr thought that traveling on the HD looking for the biggest tenderloins and coldest beer wasnt a good life plan. So at 56 I bought a hybrid Trek 9 months ago and have lost 55 pounds.
The only draw back is I've already started liking riding mtn bikes on the single track(looking to buy one in the coming weeks) and I'm constantly looking for the road bike that is unknowingly being sold way to cheap.
The wife and I also bought a tandem that we love to ride together.

Welcome. I started looking at Harley’s a few years ago. My wife reminded me of my cycling accidents and how would I feel crashing at triple the speed. She might have a post

I've been on motorcycles since 6 or 7 years old and have had a few accidents. The last being a collision with a deer. I'm thinking that I'll be selling my last one and call it done. At 57 I'm not interested in another recovery after an accident so the bikes it for me.
I'm lucky enough to live were I can ride miles of paved trails that connect to my neighborhood without touching the main roads. I can even get to single track from here. I currently do not even have an interest in riding on the streets.
