Basic track bike geometry?
Could I get a basic run-through of track bike geometry? I've been considering a Langster Pro for some time now; I work at my local shop that deals Specialized so I can get an extremely good deal on it. My only concern is the fork, which from what I understand is closer to a road fork? What makes the fork not as suitable for the track as others? And for that matter, what is unique about track bike geometry and how does it affect handling/feel?

Steeper head tubes mean a road fork will make the trail very short and the bike very twitchy.

trackmonkey, why don't you read Don Walker's article on track geometry (https://www.urbanvelo.org/issue3/urbanvelo3_p44-45.html) and then come back with some more specific questions? That'll be better than us each chiming in to piece together the same information.
