Creaking cable housings
I have a Trek Speed Concept. The cable housings are internal. They enter the top tube and run through the down tube and under the bottom bracket area. The rear brake cable housing is creaking something awful inside the down tube. I know this is the source of the creak because I can wiggle the housing and simulate the noise. I have no idea how to prevent this. The hole where the housing enters the down tube is tiny. I'm going to pull the bottom bracket to see if it offers any access to the housing. Anyone ever heard of this issue?

Internally ran casing is a common source of various types of noise. From the near ticks as the casing gets tugged at (by the steering action) lengthwise to casing tap/slap on the insides as sharp bumps are encountered. Andy
