How do I fix my DF to be as fast as a Recumbent?
Its really been bothering me lately. My trike is way faster then my DF.
My trike rolls on down the road leaving my hand made DF bike standing still.
It just doesn't give me the feeling that my DF is very efficient compared to the trike.
How many of you have that problem?

You should be complaining about the opposite scenario, so unless you are comparing a Catrike 700 with a MTB, you need to revisit your position in the saddle. Making a DF fast is relatively cheap compared to your options with a trike.

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

Park the trike, get onto the DF, and start pedaling. Then the DF will leave the trike standing still.

Yeah, funny thing about most bikes; they're not very fast unless they have a rider. Maybe you can find another engine for your poor abandoned upright.

upgrade your DF to this:
https://www.bikesale.com/cervelo-p5-d...bike-2012.aspx
if that still doesn't work, send it to me. I'll make up the difference for you
or at least try for a season or 2.

Gruber Assist is always a good idea.
Seriously, I'm turning in times after three months on my Giro that are equal to my times on my Lemond BA. Of course, that might be more a reflection of how much I sucked at riding the BA.

I'll probably hang on to it...or at least the hook in my garage ceiling will....
I got it down last weekend and rode it around the block after some air & lube. It's just not the same as riding the trike. I'll still use it for a few off road rides during the warmer months but on the hard pack stuff like concrete the trike will remain first choice.
