Step-Through Hybrid build
My wife is having hip arthritis issues that make swinging a leg over her 17” GT hybrid tough. Time to fix that by building her a Step-through! Found a great deal on a bare Marin frame for just over $100 at Randombikeparts.com. Next was a $40 brand new RST suspension fork from EBay.

Finished the build today and it turned out great. Converted her old 3x8 GT drivetrain into 1x8 on the new bike. Just need to fit it to her and trim some cable housings. It rides great and it’s very plush with the new fork.

Looking good. Just finished my wife's new (used/rebuilt) bike. Seems to be a thing we do in the winter

Nice job. Seems you have checked all of the boxes and turned out a great piece. Hope she has many miles of enjoyment with your creation.

Outstanding - looks like you're putting together a comfortable and practical bike to meet her needs and not breaking the bank to boot :-)

Very nice! And thanks for showing me RandomBikeParts.com too. Lots of frames for future projects.
