Turn off thread quote notifications?

I looked in the User CP, but could not for the life of me find out where/if there's a setting to turn off post quote notifications.

Also, notifying me when I quote someone else seems a little silly, but I realize ya'll didn't write the software.

So can I get the forum to stop spamming my email when someone quotes me?

Thanks.

Sorry to quote you....

Go to your user control panel.
Scroll down to the very bottom of the options on the left, and under the MISCELLANEOUS header, click on User Tagging "Settings"
There will be many option boxes to check or uncheck. I think you'll want to check the "Hide Quote Alerts" and/or "Disable Quote Emails".
I personally see no need to be alerted to every single thing I do here, so I have everything checked off / disabled.

More than a little. I will never for the life of me understand that feature.
