Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Here is the GPS info, however the reading is skewed. Somehow appended the century's route to my short stroll from the day prior. Net result is a straight line connection from home to the start point for today ride. All parameters are overinflated as a result. REAL: 106.5 miles from Cateye Astrale. 10,000 ft gain info from toporoute.

Elevation profile can still be seen where the data is accurate.

Fox5- Only a few patches of road were rocky. I veered off into some service trails for a few of the shots.

Wolfpack - Oh boy. Let's not go there.

That's a damn good effort. Big mountains in an imperial are a real pain.

Nice ride and pics. From your elevation profile looks to be more like 6000' of climbing on the route.

I noticed that too. But small ups and down are not easily seen with a high-level view of elevation. My ride book confirms this...

Looks like a great ride. Apparently not much traffic on those roads, either.

Good pics! I did that ride a few years back from Portland. Went up to Timberline. Didn't get to see much of the mountain though, because we were in fog for most of the climb. I'd like to do it again on a clearer day.

Nice route. I've been venturing off into the gorge several weekends in a row, but time constraints have limited me to 70 miles or so, and not having a car means I have to start from inner southeast and ride 10-15 miles each way through Gresham

I've gotta do this ride though, I'll find a way. Thanks for the idea, and great pictures.
