Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My LBS which is always the highest for anything sells Garmin products at MSRP because they told me they had to. Believe me, if they could mark Garmin products up, they would. So, not only do Garmin prices seem to be protected on the low side but evidently on the high side, too.

Gotta pick up some discs for disc golf.

Bad news about SIDI. Ribble is where I got my MTB shoes cheap after paying full price locally for the road versions.
Gonna see if performance bike has some discounted SIDI roadies.

Yeah, SIDI was the first one I ran across. I did get a pair of Genius 7 road shoes at a great price from "Always Riding" in the UK. Not sure if SIDI just hasn't caught up with them or what. Don't know if they have mountain bike shoes or just road. Edit, looks like they have limited mtn bike shoes.

Up until last fall, you could get good deals on SRAM from all the UK shops but no more.

That was tongue in cheek. There was a discussion, possibly in another thread. I'm also a big fan, and have no doubt Gilbert would have been caught. But destiny thought otherwise.

I was rummaging around in a box this afternoon for a triple front derailleur. I mention this because I polished it with my Dremel tool before installing.

I picked up 3 ripe avocados, this morning, for guacamole that never happened. Chips too!

It was claimed that there's no difference, but I've still not seen the science.

Would be a good question for Mythbusters (if that's still a thing).
