Nuovo (Ribble house brand) bibs at ~$33. Looks like they're made with a decent chamois at least.

A few other items also in this line at heavy discounts:

Agree that I would just go with the 530 right now. As far as the 520, have owned it 2+ years and never had a single problem with it. Actually, far and above better than most of my peers who have used other Garmin units.

Garmin seems to nail every other edge. 500 and 520 were great, 510 and 520+ were mediocre or bad. Wahoo is behind again IMO compared to the 530 so I would go a 530 today.

Did not even know the 530 was released if it were not for this thread.

I have cycled for many years now, with never seeing a strong need for a computer. Almost like a badge of honor. Decided to get the Wahoo over the 520 based on everything I have read, was just waiting for a sale. Looks like it is good that I waited, think I will finally bite on the 530. Will now search for what has been updated (520 vs 530 and even Wahoo vs 530).
Did not even know the 530 was released if it were not for this thread.

Wahoo also released the Wahoo element Roam with improved navigation. Might be worth checking out if navigation is important to you. Can navigate on the unit itself versus only via pairing it with the phone.

This might be a dumb question...but I've never had GPS and I'm sort of considering getting one.
When you load up a route, will it recalculate when you go off course like a car or phone GPS will? Or are you just sort of screwed?

Newer units will (Wahoo Roam and Garmin 530/830). Older units, like Element/Bolt, will kinda, sorta point you in the right direction to get back on track.

The Wahoo Elmnt and Element Bolt do NOT do this. They just say you are "off course" and show the general direction to get back to the pre-mapped course. The new Wahoo elemnt Roam DOES recalculate.

Be aware that when compared to a phone or car GPS, there are all kinds of weird caveats to the navigation on these units. On the Garmin 530 and Wahoo elemnt roam, you cannot input an address, just select a point on the map, and then go there, or select from presaved locations and route there. The Element Bolt relies purely on your smartphone to get a new route, and then syncs with your phone. It does not calculate routes on the unit itself at all.
The only units that do all the things you would normally expect from them in terms of proper navigation are the Garmin 830 and 1030.
I would suggest you seriously read through the detailed reviews from DCRainmaker on any of these units before buying. Enough things on there were dealbreakers for me in terms of navigation.
I opted to go for a smartphone + mount instead for navigation. Not as good in terms of battery life or screen readability, but works for me.

We have a public holiday in the UK next Monday (known as a Bank Holiday). Thus, there are some additional discounts being offered by several UK bike retailers.
For example, Tredz (https://www.tredz.co.uk) has a 10% discount using the code EXTRA10. It's valid on everything apart from new 2018 or 2019 bikes.

I don't live in the US, but have very often shipped from the UK/Germany to the US. China too. Well worth it if the price is right, and you are not in a hurry. Last I saw the duty free limit was 800 dollars. Not sure now with Trumps new rules.

Ive also got an order with star bike (Germany) They have been fantastic with online communications and shipped the order pretty quick. That order should be here in about 6 days from now.
With the US$ climbing up to the Euro Ive noticed prices dropping from European stores.

Purchasing from the UK isn't the problem; shipping isn't significantly longer than from buying within the US. The main issue when ordering online, whether from the UK or domestically, is fit and finish. If you can't physically touch before buying, you're left with doing some research and taking a small leap of faith. Once you find a brand/line/size that you're comfortable with, no issues whatsoever (until the manufacturer changes the something on you).

I do agree with fit n finish though. Dont order from overseas unless you know its exactly what you want. The return shipping would certainly eliminate any savings. Also you are taking a chance on wheels, frames, clothing sizes... etc.
I can order in the US have a problem with a product, return for free and have the correct product back before a shipment from europe is halfway across the ocean.
That being said.... when I can get a $289.00 seat for $170.00 or 45$ tires for 25$, to me its worth the risk for those items with that kind of savings.

The Garmin 830 does, and I believe the new 530 does as well. The 520 did not I believe.

I was burned on shipping too. I had to a) pay import duties b) pay return fee to wiggle and c) pay import fees on the new jersey.
I will not order from wiggle again. Not because of anything they did, or did not, do. But because of the uncertainty of sizing on my end.

Giro Empire E70 Knit for $99.97 and Giro Republic Knit $69.97 today.
I have the Empire E70 Knits and they are super comfortable; killer price for carbon soled shoes if you don't mind the knit look and laces. Just picked up a pair of the Republic version for my SPD pedaled bike.

The Pro's Closet has a set of disc brake Reynold's Assaults for $759. These were a showroom pair that haven't been ridden. Great wheels (I own a pair), stupid great price.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy clothes. But my last order of bike tires were from Germany, and my next order will be as well, probably in a couple months.
