Pretty nice, what's the bike weigh in total? Considering the ultra light frame.

I dont have an exact figure to give you, mainly because I dont really know how I would weigh it. All i can say is it's pretty light. If you can tell me how to weigh it i would come back with a number.

Actually Porsche have designed and do sell an official porsche roofrack for all 911s, and it is on sale in the driver selection catalogue, so its not some stupid aftermarket idea, it can be done properly!

Took my wife to the LBS to buy a bike. They had none in her size except a Scapel. So she is going to wait for some more bikes to get built. I wound up leaving with this Specialized Stumpy FSR expert ex test bike

Latest homebuild. Nashbar Steel ATB Frame ($44.95!) and spare parts from about 3 bikes--a Frankenbike! I'm only missing the FD since all the ones I have are 31.8 and I need 28.6. I've got a Tourney 28.6 on the way (it's only a FD so I'm not worried about it being Tourney). I'm going to repaint the fork to Red, Yellow, Black and White--since they're all precious in His sight.

Lol yeah - im new to these forums and was looking through, and i thought, as an avid porsche enthusiast, it was my place to put people straight. After all, isn't that one of the reasons people come to a forum such as this?

Well I went to my LBS and they had teh 07's but still in boxes. He ddin't have the '06 in a XL so I sweet talked him into pulling out a XL '07 early for me(actually just told him I'd take my buisness elsewhere and he offered). I got the first one in alabama!

Heya... I'm a wee bit new to the mountain biking thing, but I just picked up my '06 Stumpy disc. Still has its factory reflectors and everything... couldn't wait to take it out for some fun.

If you are indeed "a wee bit new to the mountain biking thing", you definately went all out for a newbie. That's a decent rig for XC.

Not entry level, no... but I'm a pretty avid biker, and figured I'd budget for the bike that really felt right. I tried out the Rockhopper (which I liked very much, esp. for the $$), the Epic and the FSRxc. For the amount of kit and the riding I plan on doing, the Stumpy seemed like the right bet. I had originally budgeted $800, but after riding the Rockhopper and Stumpjumper back to back for a bit, the Stumpy was the one that begged to go to home with me. It's probably a little over my head, but from the discussion on here it should be a good bike for me to grow with.

An S-works would have killed my ability to eat and pay car insurance... hmmmm.... Like, for example, the S-works Stumpjumper FSR Carbon that's oh... what, $7000?? Hahahaha. I wish my pockets were that deep.

I can obscure my plate... I've never worried much about such things. But it may be a worthwhile thing, so I'll update.

Brakes are fairly new, tires are new, not the same tires, the Front is a diesel, rear a gravity, the dirt is a few days old. Just waiting for a Thomson seat post now.

hell ya man it's the 24 in the back that makes it look like that. Also it's a weird picture, b/c the back wheel is much closer to the house than the front. But it's a sweet bike for manualin and dirt jumps
