Yeah it was squishy beyond belief, but it was really good on the dirt and it fit me perfectly. Plus those oversized gussets were nice.

I concur. Not generally a big fan, looks-wise, but I like what you've done with that one, RIC0.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I still have lots of upgrades when things start to wear out or break.

Easton Carbon bars will be my next addition.

EJ123 the pedals are Time Z.

Anyway, I love the inverted Sigmas. And I think I will like the next Rapide (the white & black ano in the first pict) I get. This one had some issues (possible bushing lock-up) and had to go back to R&D for a tear-down. If I end up getting as plush of 7" out of it as the 8" Sigmas are, I'll be a happy camper.
is that the same picture in the November 2005 issue of MTB Action????

The old Z-150 is back on for now. Sold the Boxxer, as it was a bit heavier/more fork than I really need or want on this bike. Awaiting one of the new 160mm Rock Shox forks, and using the Z in the meantime.

Dropped in a slightly shorter rear shock, which slacked the angles a little. Figure running the Domain will steepen it back up to pretty much what it was with the Boxxer/longer shock. I'll still be getting a little over 6" front and rear, with the same slackness and slightly lower BB. And it'll still drop a hair over a half pound off the front of the bike.

dual ring chain guide. simple, effective. single pivot+longer travel = (sometimes) flopping/dropping/noisy chain action on ugly trails. this stops that, and still lets me run both front rings without having to resort to a full on chain guide. look around, you'll actually see them on quite a few bikes in the 6" or more travel range. adds minimal weight, does the job beautifully.

that, and the gravity droppper post have been the two single best additions to this ride.

right at 36# in that picture. whenever the new fork gets in, that'll shed at minimum another half pound. pedals up on the slow side, but it's very worth it coming back down stuff, and just in general on ugly trails.

just doesn't make sense to me. every other forum stickies their photo thread (i think). doesn't mean i think it should be copied, i just think it's like that because it's more efficient. no point in having 20 different photo threads. (show me your trail, show me your hardtails, show me your fs's, show me your rigids, show me your rockhoppers/hardrocks).

it's nice having one repository for bike porn. and it's nice having newcomers post in one place. and yes, they should search, but they wouldn't know to search for "post your rigs." most would type in "bike photos" or something and get one of the aforementioned show me your ____ threads.

no mods have anything to say about this?

i think their reasoning behind the decision to not sticky it was the fact that it is such a popular thread and it would stay at the top of the mtb section for the majority of the time, but ive seen the thread disappear to the 2nd page and even the 3rd page once. I really think it should be stickied again..

Been riding my new Specialized Enduro pretty hard since I got it a couple of weeks ago...it feels awesome! Only complaint I have is the fork...but I can always upgrade that later on. Here are some pics:

PS sorry the last ones blurry...shacky hands
