Need help finding a Cruiser for tall people.

I am looking for a Cruiser for somebody 6ft... I have looked everywhere and there is very little or very vague information about actual height and cruisers.
Im used to road/mountain bikes so cruisers are a whole new world.

I am 6 feet tall and ride this modified Huffy. Mostly a longer seat post and different handlebars. Roger

I'm 6'1" with pretty long legs (34" inseam for Levis) and this fits fine. Bikes Direct Snakeeyes.

MMMM ok so it seems the longer seat post and handle bars are more add ons for height... are there any that out of the box or shop that will fit a 6ft.

Maybe not since many (most/all) are "one size fits all". FYI, the longer seatpost (mine is Ti) may add a little "suspension".

Check the Electra cruisers with foot forward technology. The pedals are forward a bit, the seat gives back a bit, and it works. I just ordered a 24” Straight 8 8i and have no doubt it will fit my 6’ frame. Bonus is feet can go flat on ground when stopped. Kind of the same philosophy as a “low rider” motorcycle.

Electra makes the Cruiser 1 and the 7d in a Tall version .
I have no problem riding my C1’s and I’m 5-11” but have a 28” short inseam . It’s a full size adult cruiser .
I bought one of the 7d’s thinking it would be similar to my 7D Fat Tire .
I returned it . Because the reach on the frame was just too long for me . I would say the Fat Tire is sort of an in between size .
I guess that’s why I like it so much .

Back in the day you could get cruiser frames in different sizes but anymore it's one size fits all. Out of the hundreds of bikes that have passed through my hands over the years the one bike I should have never sold was a very tall BCA Cruiser I built years ago, have been looking for something like it ever since.

Unless your friend is enamored with the double and or curved top tube of a cruiser, a mid-80's or so BMX racing cruiser will work. No pictures, but I sold my Voris Dixon a few years ago. Maybe you can google him since he's still manufacturing them AFAIK, and it's custom. Also, Retrotec (sp?).

I'm 6'2" 220. I ride a 21" Jamis Boss cruiser. Prolly a 2008 model. 7 speed, fits well. My uncle turned me onto jamis, his was a 23" frame (the largest) and I found it was a bit too big.

I have an Electra Cruiser 1 , they make a xl frame. I am 6’3” and it is great. Good luck.

Plus 1 on the Townie. I'm 6 foot and my seat isn't all the way up, I have it sit low for me, lots of room to stretch out though.

The ANCIENT electroforged frame SCHWINNS of 1970 to 1977 in the 22 inch and 24 inch MENS frame Will easily handle anyone 6 feet 1 inches TALL!!!
The LARGEST WOMEN'S FRAME (step-through) at 21 inch Will Easily handle anyone 6 feet 1 inches TALL!!!

The 20 inch MENS frame and the 19 inch WOMENS frame will handle anyone 5 feet 10 inches TALL!!!!
You will find that you could possibly have someone 6 feet 2 inches TALL comfortably riding a 19 inch WOMEN's Frame as there is enough adjustment in the factory seatpost and the factory Schwinn steel stem. SOMEONE WHO IS LARGER THAN 6 feet 0 inches that weighs 180 pounds or more NEEDS THE 21 inch WOMENS FRAME -or- the 22 inch MENS frame.

See the SERIAL NUMBER stamping at front headtube below the classic chicago SCHWINN badge.
The FIRST LETTER TELLS YOU the Month.........A=Jan, B=Feb, C=Mar, D= April you get the picture......
SECOND LETTER at serial number TELLS YOU the YEAR:
Example: BG040171 is a FEB 1971 schwinn because B tells you February and because G tells you 1971.
schwinn skipped the letters "eye" and "oh" because they look too much like zero and one.
SECOND LETTER denotes year: G= 1971, H =1972, J=1973, K=1974, L=1975, M=1976, N=1977, P=1978

You will not find a better cruiser than an electroforged Chicago SCHWINN from the Seventies!!
You can find or buy New cruisers that are more expensive, and that weigh less but NONE will be as durable or have the ride quality of a seventies era Chicago SCHWINN.
If you're seeking a CRUISER, lightest weight and fastest speed potential should not be a priority or perhaps you're just seeking the WRONG type of bicycle.
Certainly, you can also look at earlier SCHWINN bikes, before say 1970 or 1971, because they are great bicycles BUT IF YOU'RE SEEKING THE LARGEST FRAME SIZE OFFERINGS, AND WIDEST VARIETY OF THOSE , YOU WILL FIND THAT Schwinns of the SEVENTIES HAD THAT.
Millions of these great Schwinns were produced and sold during the BIKE-BOOM years, and millions are probably still in use, almost 50 years since the BIKE-BOOM. I know you might be thinking aw heck, I want something exclusive and distinctive, not something as commonplace as dirt that anyone can find and ride..........just remember that whatever todays CRUISER nameplates are Eureka, Electra, Elektra, Electrolux, or whatever it might be, you will find that for basic Cruisin', there is nothing better than those ancient made in Chicago SCHWINN models.

Rans crank forwards if you want something a little different. The seat goes back more than up on the Cruz models. Not to bad speed wise either. When I did my review of 7 beach cruiser types it was top two but at least twice the price of some of them.

Okay NOW HERE IS HOW TO TELL WHAT YEAR MODEL FROM THE 1971 to 1977 era (best selection era to seek out...)

The FIRST LETTER TELLS YOU the Month.........A=Jan, B=Feb, C=Mar, D= April you get the picture......
SECOND LETTER at serial number TELLS YOU the YEAR:
Example: BG040171 is a FEB 1971 schwinn because B tells you February and because G tells you 1971.
schwinn skipped the letters "eye" and "oh" because they look too much like zero and one.
SECOND LETTER denotes year: G= 1971, H =1972, J=1973, K=1974, L=1975, M=1976, N=1977, P=1978

You will not find a better cruiser than an electroforged Chicago SCHWINN from the Seventies!!
You can find or buy New cruisers that are more expensive, and that weigh less but NONE will be as durable or have the ride quality of a seventies era Chicago SCHWINN.
If you're seeking a CRUISER, lightest weight and fastest speed potential should not be a priority or perhaps you're just seeking the WRONG type of bicycle.
Certainly, you can also look at earlier SCHWINN bikes, before say 1970 or 1971, because they are great bicycles BUT IF YOU'RE SEEKING THE LARGEST FRAME SIZE OFFERINGS, AND WIDEST VARIETY OF THOSE , YOU WILL FIND THAT Schwinns of the SEVENTIES HAD THAT.
Millions of these great Schwinns were produced and sold during the BIKE-BOOM years, and millions are probably still in use, almost 50 years since the BIKE-BOOM. I know you might be thinking aw heck, I want something exclusive and distinctive, not something as commonplace as dirt that anyone can find and ride..........just remember that whatever todays CRUISER nameplates are Eureka, Electra, Elektra, Electrolux, or whatever it might be, you will find that for basic Cruisin', there is nothing better than those ancient made in Chicago SCHWINN models.

You are so right about Schwinn Varsity's and their cousins. They make great cruisers/gravel/dirt road machines. This is a 26" frame Varsity with 700c x 40mm tires, Tektro 559 brakes, Profile crank, S and M Cruiser handlebar. 10 speed rear hub and derailleur on respaced rear dropouts. This is a great handling bicycle. It is not light but I'm riding bicycle for exercise and this machine provides that.
