Cruiser Bike Sales

I got to looking around at bikes and everything is sold out everywhere .
Never thought I see it like this .
Even parts are either out of stock or some , the price has gone up .
Supply and demand I guess .
Glad I got a couple already.

Yes, it's crazy. I've been looking for a month for an insulated water bottle and a rack for it and everybody is out of stock.

Parts prices have gone up too. Used bikes on Craigslist are more expensive and seems to be less selection.

I stuck an old yellow Huffy Cranbrook Cruiser with a frozen seat post on the curb with a "Free to Good Home" sign and it was gone within the hour.

Not being an expert on global bicycle parts sourcing, I see a lot of parts marked Malaysia and Indonesia. Both these nations are wracked with Covid 19 and this may be hampering bicycle component manufacture. Frames and forks for a lot of American consumption are made in Taiwan and China both of which have no real Covid19 problems due to stringent government controls. This means their factories are capable of putting out any amount needed. The problem appears to be component groups made elsewhere.
