Shimano disc brake pad selection

First time with hydraulic disc brakes, coming time to replace pads. Originals have K01 stamped on them. I gather that K defines the size/ shape, so any pads starting with K will fit. K02 are newer, longer lasting resin formulation, K03 have cooling fins.

Have I got it about right? If there are better brands, how can I tell which will fit? Recommendations for pads for my "resin only" rotors?

Shimano lists...
Standard K03S Resin
Finned L03A Resin

https://productinfo.shimano.com/#/sp...0disc%20brake)

K02S Resin, L02A Resin, K02Ti Resin and K03Ti Resin would also fit, brakes that list these also list the L03A Resin or K03S Resin.
.

Bikes: Too many. Giant Trance X 29, Surly Midnight Special get the most time.

Get K03S if you don't do sustained hard braking, L03A-R will be the same except cool slightly faster.

Have added productinfo.shimano.com to my desktop/homepage, so hopefully I can look these things up in the future.
