New Domane AL2 has wheel creaking
Hello, I'm new to the forum and to road biking. As the title states, I just purchased a new Domane AL2. Went to take it on its first true ride (outside of just around my block) today and about a mile in started hearing my front wheel creaking. It only creaks when I'm on it and when the weight is around the seam on the rim. Is there any way I can rectify this without going back to the bike shop? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Is the creak different if you are in or out of the saddle? Check the tightness of the front skewer.

With a new bike, go back to the bike shop. Might be spokes or a dozen other things. If you start messing with your bike and muck something up, the bike shop is going to be less willing to make it right.

Good point. They aren't very close to me so I just wasn't too keen on going back but that is probably the best option here. Thanks for the advice

Rim or disc brake? Disc noise typically isn't what I'd describe as a "creak" but a slight rub on the pads can make a lot of noise when there's weight on the wheel.
