Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I know the picture is horrible, but the bike is an insane ride.
This was a replacement for a 2005 Aegis I unfortunately got into an accident on a few months ago
and cracked the frame.
Nothing but good things to say about Aegis!

Those subdued graphics look great. That bike is Hot!

Thanks. that killer V 900 frame is from back in 1995. I bought it while I was stationed over in Germany. The 5200 I JUSt bought about 3 weeks ago. from what I've been reading I got a hell of a deal on it.

maxx that seat post is a Cane Creek thudbuster. believe it or not, it actually works. my butt is much happier on the trails with that on there.

https://www.pricepoint.com/detail/136...G-Seatpost.htm

oh, and that cannondale frame is pretty light. the entire bike as you see it there only weights 24 pounds.

Yeah....definately check it out. The Aegis Victory has changes a little bit for 2007 and has the flared-aero at the back of the bike. A great improvement to an already crazy bike.
The company is out of Maine, U.S.A. and they make killer frames. They just came out with the "ZAERO" which is insane also.....

I just browsed through their website. Very interesting and visually appealing. Is your color a custom job? I did not see it in their gallery.

Yep...you can pay a little extra and have it painted how you like. Since I got in an accident a few months ago and my helmet saved my skull, I thought I'd put a skull logo in the front...more as a reminder to me. I had them paint it flat black instead of a gloss and I asked for them to match the color on the Aegis logos to the burgundy paint fade I had put on at the cranks and back of the bike. For that additional amount, if you give them a paint code, they will paint it any color you want and in any finish. They do have some cool "stock colors" also AND they do great paint fades/weaves...

update

Finally satisfied with my 06' Felt F3C (better be). I did the last two updates to the bike that I wanted. More importantly, I'm rid of the FSA SL-K compact crankset and it's bad design BB system, etc issues.

Shimano FC-R700 (50/34)

Also put a pair of keo carbons in place of the classics...not a huge difference but noticeable.

They're a set of xero lite XR-1's with the decals taken off. The rim is supposed to be like velocity aeroheads(?) I had originally planned on getting wheels from oddsandendos; however, I waited 2 weeks before an email reply and had already ordered these. The wheelset only set me back $200 and are perfectly suited for my 130lbs.
