First Post - Build Thread for 2008 Schwinn Peloton Pro - 7.47 kg
I have had this bike for about 3 years now upgrading various parts along the way. I recently treated myself to a S works tarmac and I decided to strip the bike and rebuild it and sell it. So this is both a build thread as well as a for sale thread.
The frame is a 2008 Schwinn Peloton Pro size large
Frame - 1255 g
Fork - 355 g
Frame Set with Hanger Heatset cap and seatpost clamp 1730 g
First thing was a brand new SRAM ceramic bottom bracket
Bottom Bracket - 102 g
SRAM Force Crankset 172.5 x 53/39T - 677 g
Rival Rear Derailleur - 186 g
Rival Front Derailleur - 86 g

The wheel set I used was a 1550 g Xero XR-1. I ran it for 3 years and I loved it. Needed to be trued maybe twice in 3 years
Rear Wheel - 898 g
Front Wheel - 677 g
Tube - 97 g (each)
Bontrager Tire - 230 g (each)
Skewers - 118 g
SRAM Red 11-26 Cassette - 170 g
SRAM 1090 Chain - 247 g
I used Yokozuna Reaction cables and bontrager gel cork tape
Here is the final build
Came in at 7.47 kg or 16.54 pounds
Thanks for Looking!
