Riding through Trenton from Bucks

Looking to ride through Trenton via Bridge St., through S. Trenton and to and through Bordentown. Eventually looking to hookup with 206 S. Was wondering both about safety along the river, don't know Trenton well, and quality of the path for a road bike.

I've gone through this area many times and have not had any problems. I usually go through Waterfront park to Lamberton street to the D&R canal trail which, this part of it, picks up a bit south of the park past the Trenton marina area. The D&R trail runs along with the Riverline light rail line for a few miles and ends at Bordentown marina. You can also go on Centre street to Lalor street to Lamberton and to the trail.

I live in Trenton. It's not bad if your wheels are moving. The streets are aweful. Potholes everywhere. You can take Broad Street (206) from Bridge Street to Bordentown. Or you can pay $1.50 and put your bike on the Riverline at Cass St. to Bordentown. There are hills on 206 right at the circle but you should be fine. Bordentown is a nice little town to ride a bike through.
