Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Obviously my Salsa Vaya didn't go over well so I will try again.
Brought this out of retirement to hold me over until I know what I want out of a go fast bike and buy something new. What stem angle to I need to level this out?

You need to get the image location, not just the page link. I'd post it but it's huge.

Looks like you have a 0° stem on there. A -6° should match the top tube angle.

Not usually a big Trek fan but that looks great to me. Btw, how did you link such a large image? My three pics won't upload from imgur, says they're too big

Thanks. Should have taken off my light before i took that pic...Really enjoying the new wheels. These are alot wider than my 10yr old Mavic. The 25mm tires really puff out, running ~65psi.
Just sent it to my computer as a "large image" from my iphone, uploaded to imgur, and did the [ img] links.

About those levers, the composite ones look fine, but I was wondering: why do you have them in the first place if the rest of the group is alloy?

Well, originally I had a carbon crankset to go with it which I ended up using to build a Park Pre frame (pic below); these have a bare metal look so the carbon is a nice accent on it. Let’s say it’s my one attempt to save weight . This bike came out at an even 20 pounds which is great considering the components.

I also had been looking for Ultrashift levers to go with the 2010 Ultrashift RD and these carbon ones were the only ones I could find.
