Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Both, but I dont find any CF bikes hot TBH.
They all look the same to me.

other than the saddle, I like this very much.

I'm sick of seeing bikes made for midgets/dwarfs/little people. Bikes built for cyclists over 6'2" look normal to me.

Saddle - weird
Bars pointing up in the air.
Angle of the pic - weird and makes the bike look warped.
Looks the same as the other yellow Giant except bigger.

That's an interestingly low perspective for someone so high up. Not the most flattering angle for that bike.

Fair enough, hard to ignore such a repulsive color after all. Does that do it for you enough, or do you want more abuse?

In all seriousness, the crank position and angle are off-putting in this picture more than the bike itself. Doesn't this thread have unspoken rules on how to present your bike? Or did I somehow stumble on the "What road bike do you have?" thread?

Actually, some kid in my neighborhood is always riding this bike, I knew this reminded me of a kid's bike for a reason!

Excellent choice, especially in the present context/discussions of fluorescent colored Giants. But it's almost TOO elegant and grown-up.

I'm a big fan of Giant, the designs of which are typically the opposite of this. Some may say they are primitive or childish (especially the bright colors) but Giant tend to be straightforward, decisive, even bold designs with simple, effective, well-executed graphics. There's nothing tentative or fussy about them, they're just solidly good-looking.

There's nothing really tentative or fussy about the bike above, either, but as gorgeous as it is, it doesn't seem very happy. It's precious rather than fun. It might be hot as something to ride to an awards ceremony or other formal affair (how absurd is that?), but as something to ride on the road? Sadly, not.

Has a lot of potential, but right now that yellow bar tape is ruining it. If you want something saturated rather than the usual black, then pink, or light blue could be interesting, but yellow or light green? No way, no how. But I'd be inclined to go with something less saturated, like gold maybe.

If you went stealth bike, as in black wheels/saddle, then green tape would look awesome.

Huge fan of black and green. It's nice seeing vibrant colors on carbon. The usual all-black-everything bikes can be a bit boring to look at, regardless of how nice the bike or parts on it are.

My mate jokingly suggested green tape and I shrugged it off. Hmmm maybe that's not a bad idea because all black is boring AF but I hate white bar tape.

I think you've sorted it

Ray Allen's, huh? Makes sense.

Not a fan of horizontal top tubes. Really not a fan of horizontal top tubes on bikes built for tall people - just something about the triangle proportions. Also not a fan of lugged CF frames where the lugs really stand out.

I admire the bike, but not hot.

Yuppie story of the day- My mom ran into Ray Allen in Whole Foods the other day, he's apparently a very sweet guy. He runs a restaurant in Miami and hired some friends of mine, they all have great things to say about him as well. I wonder if he'd drope me? I know that Jesus Shuttlesworth would drope the hamer hard, not sure about Ray.

RIP

Not long after I posted this bike on here I was hit by a car. I'm ok but the Tuscany is totaled (crack @ down tube the head tube junction). It was the drivers fault he was ticketed and his insurance has accepted liability. A couple of things I would suggest to you based on my experience (it could have been much worse), get a helmet cam if possible and but most definitely run a gps app to show your direction of travel. Also, fortunately I purchased every part online and have the invoices to back the parts up but the frame is a 2005 so we're in dispute on it's value. I'm guessing my next step will be to get an appraisal from a bike shop.

Looks like I'll be spending a lot more time on this guy until I can get a new ti build going....

This one can have water bottles hanging everywhere, seat bags galore, pics that folks think are artsy, but in reality, they're just screwed up. The one you're looking for is this one.

Sorry about your crash.
Meanwhile, can you even ride that Canyon on the road? Looks like it wouldn't be practical for anything less than climbing stairs.
