I wear a 10.5 US sneaker and I have Christophes in Medium. I agree, it centers the ball over the pedal and feels better than the L, my feet are too far forward in an L.

I know this post is old, just posting this for reference so it's on the internet next time someone else googles this.

interesting top.
I had 2 sets of M cages, but i never felt like my foot was far enough in. Even though I wear a size 7.5 sneaker. I ordered a L and they feel much better.
BUT maybe it has to do with the size/type of pedals as well. I'm on Origin8 track pedals so they are pretty small whereas a larger platform would allow more space for your shoe/foot so a smaller cage would work.
shrug?

Funny, I wear a 9.5 street shoe, bought a L, and found myself pulling my should out about 1/2” to 1” everytime I was climbing a long drawn out hill. Finally moved to M and feel way better. Pedal size definitely factors in, but the ball of my foot is way better spaced over the pedal spindle now.

My friends tell me to just get clipless, but I’m stubborn.
